From the documentary I think the media does influence our views because it is apparent everywhere that people follow what the ads say and buy their products or there would be no point in advertising in the first place. I do not think view cartoons or other Disney films differently after seeing the documentary and Disney has no affected my work in anyway because I never really watched many Disney movies when I was a kid.
Disney is unique in how it uses stereotypes in its movies; but, they use stereotypes to much for it children’s movies and they shouldn’t be exposed to Disney’s movies because of it until they are older; Children are really impressionable so they will follow the examples that they see and hear. Media is more likely to be influenced on you when you’re younger because you have less understanding of the world around you so you imitate whatever you can to understand the world around you, and that’s why most ads are targeting children so they can get their brand recognized by them when they become adults.
